The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Bassem Abdul Zaman, announced on Friday the launch of the first meal of emergency grantees, increasing their number to 900,000 beneficiaries.
In a press conference held at the ministry's building, Abdul Zaman said that the ministry has started the procedures of distributing the emergency grant among beneficiaries by sending text messages to the covered people starting today and by 100,000 every two days. The text messages have to be kept until another message is received after a while containing the secret code through which they can receive the grant amount.
The minister added that the distribution of the grant will be through the exchange centers of the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Gate Company (Switch) deployed in Baghdad and the provinces, whose addresses have been published through the ministry's website, indicating the readiness to open an emergency port in any area without a center of the said company so that the beneficiaries can receive the grant easily. .
He added that "the grant covered various levels of education for both sexes according to a mechanism prepared by the Ministry under the supervision of the Office of Financial Supervision," calling "citizens to follow the website and there is no need to review the ministry or its outlets."
