"Make Baghdad the whole arena for liberation ... and defy the ban for the brave," Saleh Mohammed al-Iraqi, a cleric close to Sadr, said in a tweet on social media, referring to a curfew that began midnight on Thursday.
The Baghdad Operations Command decided to impose a curfew on people and the movement of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and vehicles of all kinds, from 12 pm this day, until 6 am until further notice, in order to protect the demonstrators and prevent engineers from targeting it.
