The Trump administration is considering adding five new countries to the travel ban list
The administration of US President Donald Trump is considering extending [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/17280/%D8%AD%D8%B8%D8%B1 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%81%D8%B1]the[/url] current [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/17280/%D8%AD%D8%B8%D8%B1 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%81%D8%B1]travel ban[/url] list to five new countries, according to two sources who spoke with CNN.
A senior administration official said there were discussions within US agencies on travel restrictions on countries that did not comply with US demands for information and electronic documents sharing, and fewer than five were currently being considered.
The travel restrictions "will be for each country and there will be no total travel ban on citizens," the official said.
The Department of Homeland Security periodically assesses countries on the list of their compliance with the rules. For example, Chad was removed from the list after the White House was informed that it had improved security.

The ban includes citizens of seven countries - Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iran, Somalia, Venezuela and North Korea.
According to the State Department, as of mid-September, 31,000 people had been denied entry into the United States, but 7,600 exceptions had been issued.
