, a member of the House of Representatives, Youssef al-Kalabi, on Saturday, the President of the Republic Barham Saleh on the back of his recent speech, accusing him of "defending" his position and "disavow" the file to amend the Constitution.
Al-Kalabi said in a statement reported by Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed newspaper that "Saleh's speech was not successful in order to cope with the crisis of the stage, and that all the country's officials are defending their posts, and this is what the Iraqi people and demonstrators are watching."
He added, "Saleh defends his position, and disavowed in his last speech from the file to amend the Constitution and some paragraphs, and some of the information known to all officials, such as the issue of killers involved in the massacre of demonstrators."
"The government has full reports that reveal their identities. The President of the republic should have investigated intensively in this regard, especially as he is the protector of the constitution, not talking about consuming files such as accepting Abdul-Mahdi's resignation in the event of an alternative."
