(BAGHDAD: Al-Furat News) The Industrial Research and Development Authority, one of the formations of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, on Wednesday, to implement the work plan in coordination with the ministry's companies and government institutions according to work axes appropriate to the terms of reference and research centers for the next stage.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Euphrates News, that the Commission, among the important axes, has begun to prepare a plan for the management of industrial waste for the ministry's companies and reuse for various industrial purposes and contribute to improving the environmental and economic indicators of these companies as the presence of these waste in large quantities negatively affect Production costs as well as their bad environmental impact. "
He pointed out that "the Authority worked to limit the type and amount of industrial waste for all companies of the ministry for the purpose of preparing technical studies for investment in various fields," pointing to "some examples of this topic, which reached advanced stages, including the investment of cement dust in the tile industry by private companies In direct coordination with the General Directorate of Industrial Development and the General Company for Iraqi Cement affiliated to the Ministry.
"It was agreed to hold a joint meeting chaired by the scientific advisor to the ministry and the presence of all parties concerned, including the owners of tile factories in the private sector and the investment of tobacco dust resulting from the manufacture of cigarettes in the production of organic fertilizers."
"After completing the work at the laboratory and entrepreneurial level, the authority started investing the full amount of waste at the production level, in cooperation with the private sector, investing slag iron in various industrial fields and investing waste tires, rubber and plastic materials."
