revealed a senior Iraqi official in Baghdad, that most of the political forces agreed to the survival of Abdul-Mahdi and stopped their requests to dismiss him.
The official said, "Most political forces agreed to remain Abdul-Mahdi at the head of the government and stopped requests to dismiss him."
He added, "The remaining blocs do not have more than 50 votes in parliament, and no longer any position for their impact," speaking of what he described as "most of the political blocs to bow to this option by external pressure."
