    BAGHDAD: The port of Umm Qasr continued to be closed by dozens of protesters who continued their sit-in in front of the gates of the port south of Basra province.
    Demonstrators also blocked roads leading to sites and oil fields in Barjasiyah and Bir 20 towards the Zubair and Rumaila fields in Basra.

    Basra demonstrators block roads leading to most oil fields

    A number of demonstrators in Basra, on Tuesday, closed the roads leading to the cities of Barjisiyah and Rumaila, west of the province, where most of the oil fields are located.
    The source said in a press statement that "a number of demonstrators, cut for the second day in a row, roads leading to the oil fields of the regions of Barjisiyah and Rumaila, west of Basra.
    He pointed out that the two areas mentioned, include most of the province's oil fields.
    The latest demonstrations in the country, an extension of the demonstration, which began in early October, to demand constitutional and ministerial reforms, provide jobs, cancel the quota, and disclose the cause of the killing of demonstrators.
