Al-Ghazzi: The Ministry of Justice is responsible for the slow execution of terrorists
The death penalty against terrorists and criminals in Iraq has been slow to execute, the head of the parliamentary legal committee said on Wednesday. Some former presidents have signed agreements to end the death penalty in Iraq.

He added that "most of the former presidents of the Republic signed agreements on ending the execution of the death penalty in Iraq, and resort to ways other than this option."
He explained that "executions are carried out but they (weak) and not at the level of sentencing of criminals or terrorists, and therefore there is a lack and slow in the implementation of these sentences against the convicts."
