The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, reiterated that the region does not fear the demand to amend any article of the Constitution, if that amendment is in the interest of the Iraqi people and improve their living and administrative conditions.
"We are part of Iraq and we want to address our problems within the framework of the Iraqi state and the constitution we voted for," Barzani said on the second day of the "Middle East Security and Peace" forum at the American University in Dohuk.
He added: "Our message to Baghdad is clear, that our destiny is shared and one and we are ready to cooperate with regard to the Kurdistan region, and we are also ready to show any kind of assistance and cooperation to get Iraq out of the current reality, and move to a better stage."
