Al-Fateh MP Mohammed al-Baldawi revealed on Wednesday new details regarding the hosting of Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari by the parliamentary security and defense committee.
Al-Baldawi said in a statement to the information that "the Committee inquired about the details of the targeting of demonstrators and the weapons used and it continues to ask questions addressed to military commanders and Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari."
He added that "parliamentary questioning is going through stages, including hosting, and if the host committee is not convinced of the answers, it will hold a meeting and determine the files on the questioning."
Al-Baldawi explained that "the lack of conviction of answers exposes the success of al-Shammari to dismiss or submit a request from the parliament to the Prime Minister to exempt the Minister of Defense in case he could not convince the Security Committee."
It is noteworthy that the MP of the conquest Alliance Hanin Qadu confirmed in a statement earlier to the information, that the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee is headed towards the questioning of Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari on the third party and leaked documents regarding the purchase of tear gas during the sessions this week.
