Wassit MP Abbas Jaber al-Atafi said on Friday that the deputies will monitor the performance of the governors each according to his province in order to modify the course of local governments, pointing out that the dismissal of conservatives and withdraw confidence from them is the prerogative of the executive authority.
Al-Atafi said in a statement to the information, that "the deputies in the parliament will monitor the performance of the governors after the termination of the work of the provincial councils by a parliamentary decision, especially after the law granted greater power to members of parliament towards local governments."
He added that "the dismissal of conservatives in the event of distrust of their performance is through the Prime Minister, who asks parliament to dismiss the Governor shortened to vote the House of Representatives on the dismissal."
He explained that "the governor holds the degree of deputy minister, and the law granted the House of Representatives the power to monitor the performance of the governors, where there is a great seriousness to do this duty in order to correct what is happening in the provinces." Finished 25 N
