Prime Minister [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] on Saturday that the procedure for submitting the resignation of the government to the House of Representatives was the advice of the Federal Supreme Court.
"I called the Federal Court to inquire about the procedures for submitting the resignation and informed me that the most correct procedure is to submit it to the Council of Representatives and not to the President of the Republic," Abdul Mahdi said in a speech during the cabinet session.
He added, "The judiciary was handed over the resignation of the government to parliament as it emerged from it."
