European countries demand that Abdul-Mahdi investigate the killing of the demonstrators and hold them accountable

A joint statement of the three ambassadors stated that "the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , French and German ambassadors met today with Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, and condemned the killing of peaceful demonstrators and Iraqis since October 1, including the killing of 25 protesters in Baghdad last Friday."
"As the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and until a new prime minister takes over this position, the ambassadors called for ensuring the protection of the demonstrators, carrying out the necessary investigations urgently and holding all those responsible for the killings accountable," he said.
They stressed the importance of "not allowing any armed faction to operate outside the control of the state."
