On Monday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi discussed with the leaders of political blocs the law of parliamentary elections.
The Media Office of the Speaker of Parliament stated in a statement received / information / that “Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Al-Halbousi held an expanded meeting that included the first deputy and heads of political blocs to discuss the Iraqi Parliament’s election law in a series of continuous meetings for the purpose of its legislation.”
Al-Halbousi stressed during the meeting the need to "reach an agreement on a law that meets the aspirations and aspirations of the Iraqi people and rebuilds confidence for the electorate, in a manner that guarantees a fair electoral process and genuine representation of Iraqi citizens throughout [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ."
And that "the conferees discussed all the ideas presented by Iraqi and international experts to work to unify visions about the law in order to reach its legislation as soon as possible, stressing that running and voting is a legitimate right for all Iraqis." 25 n ended
