Al-Ghadban clarified that "OPEC deals with Iraq as a single political unit and does not differentiate between the region's oil and others. He stressed that "the agreement that was concluded between the federal government and the region stipulates that the latter, starting from 1/1 of next year, will hand over the federal government 250,000 barrels per day of crude oil produced there out of the 450,000 barrels produced daily there," noting that " The remaining amount of 200 thousand barrels per day was agreed to be used by the regional government to pay the companies' wages and their shares of the profit and what remains to be used to pay off their debts and salaries.
