Al-Fateh Alliance member Naseem Abdullah said Thursday that the protesters ’opinion is the basis for choosing the new prime minister, pointing out that the cuff tends towards choosing an independent candidate, despite the presentation of several names, the last of which is Qusay Al-Suhail, but this is only at the level of the media.
Abdullah said in a statement to the "information", "The file of nominating an alternate name for Abdul-Mahdi is still obscure, and the alternative candidate will be presented with the same mechanism that Abdul-Mahdi presented when the government was formed in 2018."
He added that "the political blocs will not present any candidate unless there is a consensus between the political blocs on a specific candidate to be agreed upon."
He explained that "Qusay Al-Suhail will not be presented as a candidate for the Al-Fateh coalition unless there is a consensus between all political blocs", noting that "the prevailing in the current period is to present an independent candidate for prime minister."
He stressed that "the media circulated the name of Qusay al-Suhail as a candidate for prime minister, but all political blocs are directed towards choosing an independent candidate who will prepare for early elections and come to an independent commission."
He pointed out that "the opinion of the demonstrators is the basis for choosing the new prime minister, and the political blocs are searching for the best among the names presented, and it is hoped that things will go in the direction of an independent candidate." 25 n ended
