Direct: The Iraqi Council of Representatives, at its 22nd meeting held under the chairmanship of Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, in the presence of 224 deputies, voted on the proposal of the second amendment law to the law to compensate those affected by war operations, military mistakes and terrorist operations No. 20 of 2009 the average.
According to a statement issued by the House of Representatives, the law was submitted by the committees of martyrs, victims, political and legal prisoners and human rights, with a view to including and equitable all classes of martyrs and equating them with all the rights and privileges granted in accordance with the laws in force.
The House of Representatives pointed out that the law works to alleviate the suffering of citizens in areas that have been damaged by war operations, military mistakes and terrorist operations, and to form a sub-committee in each governorate and increase the number of central committees for compensation and to accomplish the largest number of citizens compensation transactions.
The Council noted that the law supports the inclusion of the privileges of martyrs and injured persons affiliated with the internal security forces, the armed forces and security services, with the benefits stipulated in the law, and to engage the public prosecution service in order to preserve public money.
The Council voted on the decision to form a committee that includes 4 employees to manage the daily administrative matters and pay the salaries of employees in the Independent High Electoral Commission, provided that its work ends when selecting a new Board of Commissioners after completing the work of the current commission and transferring the general managers in it.
The parliament achieved a vote on 14 of the 50 articles of the House Elections Bill submitted by the Legal Committee.
The Council set next Monday as the date for voting on the bill.
