On Thursday, the deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance Fadel Al-Fatlawi confirmed that the nomination of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi did not receive political support to take over the position of prime minister, while he indicated that the constitutional deadline for assigning the prime minister would expire without selecting any candidate.
Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to "Information", that "the political blocs have not reached any agreement on naming the new prime minister's personality and it has become clear by not assigning the President of the Republic the personality of the Prime Minister today," noting that "Allawi's candidacy did not have political support to take over the presidency." The ministers will be excluded from the competition list. ”
He added that "the debate is still ongoing on the personality of the Prime Minister and there are several names being studied at the present time," noting that "the constitutional deadline for assigning the Prime Minister will end without choosing any candidate for the lack of political consensus."
