    A part of Abdel Mahdi's meeting with the American official 

    The resigned Iraqi Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, discussed partnership and cooperation relations between Baghdad and Washington, during his meeting with David Hill, US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs.
    A statement by Abdul-Mahdi's office indicated that "during the meeting, the two sides touched upon the partnership and cooperation relations between the two countries, and Iraq’s vision of recent developments in the country and the region."

    The statement pointed out that "the meeting also discussed the United States' vision towards the region's developments."
    For his part, Abdul-Mahdi stressed the continuation of the strategic partnership with Washington, and pointed out the stability of his policy in building good relations with all neighboring countries, partners and international friends, the importance of relations between the two countries and the continuation of cooperation in all fields and combating terrorism.
