Marches were launched in Tahrir Square in Baghdad, Dhi Qar, Nasiriyah, and Basra, while the demonstrators chanted national slogans confirming that the largest bloc is "the blood of the dead from the protesters in Tahrir," according to their chants, and that the movement will form the government.
This comes as protesters burned headquarters of the "Dawa" party, "the wisdom stream", "the Badr Organization" and "Asaib Ahl al-Haq" in the city of Diwaniyah, the capital of Qadisiyah Governorate, south of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
This comes after the assassination of the activist, Thaer Al-Tayeb.
For his part, the Iraqi comedian artist, Awad Fadel, said that he was subjected to an assassination attempt in the capital, Baghdad. He emphasized that targeting public figures was an attempt to intimidate and intimidate the demonstrators.
The demonstrators closed the Muhammad al-Qasim highway in the middle of Baghdad, and demonstrations with burning tires cut off a number of main roads in Najaf.
The new Iraqi election law permits the system of individual candidacy in place of party lists, and also stipulates that the candidate with the highest votes wins.
The law provides for resorting to the lottery in the event that the votes of the candidates for the last seat are equal, and when a seat becomes vacant in Parliament, the highest candidate in the constituency shall replace him.
Also, every member of parliament represents a specific electoral district, and electoral districts are divided on the basis of an electoral district for each district in the governorate.
According to the new election law, the Ministry of Planning provides the commission with the number, boundaries, and population of the districts.
For his part, the activist Ahmed Khuzam said that there are not a few trends in the movement that see Baghdad as the root of the problem and the seat of the authority and its parties and without intensifying efforts in it, the movement will not achieve many points in the range of armed parties and factions, so the focus will be on Baghdad in the stage Coming.
And he adds: Some of the Harak groups, after reviewing the demonstrations of the past two months, found that the effect of the demonstrations in the remote provinces is relatively small compared to Baghdad, and there are similar experiences that confirm that, the mass demonstrations of Basra Governorate in 2018 did not achieve their goals because of their distance from the center.
Khuzam suggested that the demonstrators resort to uniting efforts and focusing on both parts of Baghdad and not being satisfied with the presence in Tahrir Square next to Rusafa, with the aim of forcing the authorities to fully respond to the demands of the demonstrators and not delay in implementing them.
