, President of the Republic Barham Salih announced on Thursday that he has resigned at the disposal of the House of Representatives.
Saleh said in a statement received / Mawazine News / that "since this conservative position regarding the current candidacy (Al-Aidani’s candidacy for the presidency of the government) may be considered a breach of a constitutional provision, therefore I place my willingness to resign from the post of President of the Republic in front of members of the House of Representatives, to decide in light of their responsibilities as representatives of The people see what they see fit, so we are sure that there is no good in the position or position that is not in the service of the people and a guarantor of their rights. "
