, a local official in Diyala province confirmed on Friday that the reopening of the Mandali port will push the price down by 10%.
The director of Mandali district (85 km east of Baquba), Mazen Akram, said in an interview with "Information", that "the opening of the Mandali border crossing with Iran is very important and will have a role in the recovery of markets and reducing the prices of goods and materials, especially food, by 10% for various reasons, most notably that it is the closest to Baquba and the capital, Baghdad, which greatly affects the transportation bill.
Akram added, "Mandali has received government promises to have a share of the revenues of the port to finance construction and building projects and develop its capabilities in the file of providing basic services, stressing that the port will provide great opportunities for work for various professions, especially free."
The Mandali port was reopened the day before yesterday, with higher orders, after being closed for more than 4 months after monitoring multiple negatives in the work mechanisms. End / 25

    The information / Diyala ..
A high-ranking security source in Diyala province revealed on Friday a full insurance for 9 land routes that were used as pathways for smuggling materials and goods towards several governorates, including Baghdad.
The source said in an interview with "Information", that "the security services in Diyala have strengthened the points of inspection and inspection deployed on the land roads, especially the main roads leading to several governorates, including Baghdad, to prevent the entry of trucks carrying smuggled materials or goods from entering the markets."
The source added, "9 land roads have been fully secured after they were used in the past years to introduce contraband and smuggled goods through the presence of nasim roads, pointing out that the latter was closed after being exposed by the security forces."
The source pointed out that "13 trucks carrying contraband and other items prohibited from entering the markets were seized over two weeks in Diyala, and this represents an achievement due to follow-up and field monitoring."
Networks have been exploiting Diyala's wild roads through some breeze roads to smuggle goods and materials into multiple governorates, including Baghdad in recent years. End / 25
