    [size=18]Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Ahmed Al-Saffar, revealed proposals to exclude the age requirement in the unified pension law.


    Al-Sabah newspaper quoted Al-Saffar as saying that "the proposal to amend the unified pension law in its first version included excluding ambassadors only from the age-retirement requirement," noting that "there are parliamentary objections and demands to include other tranches that they deem necessary to include them".






     
    Al-Saffar revealed that "among those proposed exceptions are university professors, doctors with important specialties and experts," noting that "all proposals submitted by political committees and forces will be discussed."
     
    On Tuesday, the House of Representatives finished the first reading of the draft pension law amendment.
