Security expert Safaa Al-Aasam confirmed on Tuesday that America has 14 bases inside Iraqi territories that control the airspace, pointing out that the decision to remove it from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] depends on establishing security, in addition to the presence of an Iraqi decision force to end the security agreement with Washington.
Al-Asam said in a statement to "Information", that "America does not wish to establish security in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] because achieving this is one of the main justifications for ending the security agreement concluded between Baghdad and Washington in 2014, and therefore its survival coincides with a security imbalance in the country."
He added that "the security breaches continue as a result of the continued American presence, as it is justified to keep its forces in the country," noting that "the government can end the security agreement with the American side to achieve security in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ."
He indicated that " [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] does not possess an efficient air force or anti-aircraft, in addition to the absence of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] control over [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] inside [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ."
He explained that "the situation is very confusing in conjunction with the absence of an Iraqi decision-making force," noting that "America has its own forces in 14 bases inside [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , and therefore the emptying of these bases is subject to a decision ending the American presence in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ."
He stressed that "the imbalance lies in the political system in addition to entering the United States on the line, where there is an American expansion within the borders in addition to its control over the airspace," noting that "Iraqi security will not improve with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] presence [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] inside [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ." 25 n ended
