    Baghdad - Conscious
The prime minister's financial advisor, Mazher Mohammed Saleh, said Wednesday that there is a possibility of increasing oil volumes for investment to 300,000 barrels under the agreement with China.
Saleh told the Iraqi News Agency (AA) that "Iraqi oil flows began since the beginning of October last year, at 100,000 barrels of oil per day, and its financial returns entered into iraq's sovereign accounts according to the accounting system signed with the Chinese side," pointing out that the possibility of "To increase the amount of oil allocated for the purposes of the investment platform and support projects, by 300,000 barrels of oil per day instead of 100,000 barrels of oil in the future."
"Chinese companies will carry out major strategic infrastructure projects," he said, noting that "the supplements of the accounting and oil agreement were signed by both parties when the head of the daily business government, Adel Abdul Mahdi, visited Beijing."
"The projects to be implemented by the Chinese side will be a giant long-term strategic project, which is linked to the legislation of the Law of the Reconstruction Council," Saleh said, adding that "contracts have been made with major Chinese companies that operate on the basis of competition contracts and international contracts in terms of Price and efficiency, which have shown their willingness to rebuild infrastructure, such as bridges, roads and schools, and build more than 8,000 schools."
A spokesman for Prime Minister Saad al-Hadithi's press office said earlier that the future of the economic agreement signed between Iraq and China in the government of Abdul Mahdi would be determined by the next government.
"It is up to the next government to assess in accordance with its directions," al-Hadithi said in a statement to The Waaa, noting that "the agreements and common commitments between countries usually continue even with the change of governments, unless the new government has a different opinion in this regard."
"The agreement signed between Iraq and China has great benefits for the Iraqi economy in terms of revitalizing various sectors, particularly industrial, agricultural, commercial and transport, as well as creating jobs by stimulating the local market," he said.
