The Ministry of Oil confirmed, Thursday, that the events of the demonstrations taking place in the southern governorates greatly enriched the economic and oil facilities, while it indicated that the volume of Basra Gas Company production reached about 1100 million standard cubic feet per day.
The spokesman for the ministry, Assem Jihad, said in a statement seen by him / the information: “The events that the southern governorates witnessed from protests and others greatly affected the economic and oil facilities. Last Saturday, he returned to duty. "
Jihad added, "Investment usually requires a safe environment that includes political stability, security stability and legislation related to investment. We hope that it will be available in its entirety and despite all the circumstances the Ministry of Oil has succeeded in attracting international companies to work in the sector."
Jihad pointed out that "the production volume of the Basra Gas Company reached about 1100 million standard cubic feet per day," suggesting "stopping the burning of gas in the fields accompanying the oil during the year 2022, I warned against the impact of the demonstrations on extractive oil operations."
