Al-Hamdani said to the "information" that "the political blocs concerned with introducing new and independent personalities to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers must get rid of the pressures and directions of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and all parties that seek to preserve their partisan gains during the coming period."
He added, "The speaker of parliament is popular and politically rejected," noting that "these political figures have dominated the institutions of the Iraqi state and everyone has to get rid of them."
Earlier in the day, head of the Bayraq al-Khair bloc, MP Muhammad al-Khalidi, confirmed the return of negotiations to choose the new prime minister, suggesting that next week will witness the end of this file.
