Britain summons the Iranian ambassador against the background of the arrest of its ambassador in Tehran
The British Foreign Office [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/11696/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%81%D9%8A%D8%B1 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5%D9%8A%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%8A][size=13]summoned the Iranian ambassador[/url] in London to express its strong objections to the arrest of the British ambassador in Tehran for a short period, a spokesman for the British Prime Minister announced.
The arrest was an unacceptable violation of the Vienna conference, the spokesman said, adding that the UK wanted to ensure that this was not repeated.
The German government held that the demonstrations taking place since Saturday in Iran after the authorities acknowledged that the Ukrainian passenger plane was shot down in error, should take place without restrictions.
A German Foreign Ministry spokeswoman confirmed during a press conference in Berlin that the Iranian people should have the possibility to protest peacefully and freely, noting that the people want to express their pain and of course there is anger after the events and the terrible plane accident.
