Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Siham Al-Aqili, on Tuesday explained the reason for raising the second amendment to the Unified Retirement Law No. 9 of 2014, stressing that the extension of the age requirement for ambassadors did not win the acceptance of the members of the House of Representatives.
Al-Aqili said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", that "excluding ambassadors from the age requirement opens the door for physicians and other specializations," noting that "the House of Representatives has amended the terms referred for retirement."
Al-Aqili asserted, "Those of them will turn 57 years of age directly into retirement, while the first of them will start on the first of May 58th, while the 59th of next September will be forwarded, and those of them at the age of 60 will be referred to retirement at the end of this year."
