Activists on social media circulated widely, a video of the Friday prayers held by Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, for the first time in 8 years.
The video circulating shows the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, cutting his links to Khalaf Khamenei, the prince who raised speculation and questions about the existence of a "dispute" between the two highest figures in the Iranian regime.
Muhammad Majeed Al-Ahwaz commented on his Twitter-defined page on this video by saying: “Khamenei today spoke about several files and as I indicated there are intense differences that started to appear in public between Khamenei and Rouhani, here Rouhani quits Friday prayers before Khamenei does not end.! Rouhani was severely attacked by the media close to Khamenei because of this situation.
It is noteworthy that Khamenei spoke in Arabic during Friday sermon in which he touched on the file of relations between Iraq and Iran, which some considered an attempt to influence Iraqi public opinion at a time when the country is witnessing demonstrations against Iran and America.
While others commented:
