The deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance Fadel Al-Fatlawi clarified, on Wednesday, the date for the end of the constitutional amendments by the parliamentary committee in charge of this matter, pointing out that the amendments will hold a popular referendum on them, while the election commission will be the one who will undertake this process.
In a statement to Al-Maalouma, Al-Fatlawi said, "The Constitutional Amendments Committee continues in its work and has gone a long way in the amendments, especially as there is a specific period to end the constitutional amendments."
He added, "The Constitutional Amendments Committee is limited to four months to end all amendments, and therefore the completion of this file will be the beginning of next month or the beginning of the new legislative term for Parliament."
He explained that "the constitutional amendment committee will issue a detailed report of its work to the parliament in order to determine the main paragraphs that are being modified and then put it to the people for the referendum to these amendments."
And that "the Electoral Commission is concerned with conducting the referendum on the constitutional amendments, as there are vigorous preparations to resolve the matter and complete the procedures by the commission." 25 n ended
