The Ministry of Defense announced, on Wednesday, that Basra operations carried out a wide spread operation to protect the vital facility in the province.
The ministry said, in a statement received / information /, that "the Basra Operations Command and the sectors and units operating in its command have embarked on a wide security deployment process within the sector of responsibility in order to secure protection to the vital facility and infrastructure after the recent events in Basra Governorate."
Basra Operations Commander, Lt. Gen. Qassim Jassem Nazzal, affirmed, "Securing the vital facilities and public and private properties of the citizens and not being drawn into violence, riots, and blocking roads."
