    The Directorate of Electricity Production in Dhi Qar has completed maintenance work on two units at Nasiriyah Steam Station, and confirmed that the production capacity will increase during the coming summer, after two units from the new gas station enter service.
    An official source with the directorate said in an interview with the official "Al-Sabah" newspaper, which was viewed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the current production of electrical energy in the Nasiriyah steam station of the second and third units amounts to 280 megawatts, at the rate of 140 megawatts per unit," indicating that the In the first and fourth units, it was completed with the participation of an Emirati company and with the same energy.
     
    She added that "two units of the new installed Nasiriyah plant, at an average of 200 megawatts, will be added to the system during the coming summer, in addition to the gas station at a rate of 40 megawatts," noting that "the completion of production in the complex station that is being constructed by two Turkish companies and Turkish factories .
     
    The source confirmed that "the Ministry of Electricity is serious about completing electricity projects and increasing production rates within the specified timetables in preparation for receiving the next summer."
     
    Meanwhile, the Dhi Qar Electricity Distribution Directorate announced the repair of 39 unemployed transformers and brought them back to service in December.
     
    The Director General of the Directorate Muhammad Faisal Ruwaidi told Al-Sabah that “the engineering and technical staff in the technical workshop for repairing transformers managed to repair 39 unemployed transformers of different capacities by three capacity of 100 kV, (9) capacity of 250 kV, and (21) Capacity of 400 kV, (4) capacity 630 kV, and (2) capacity of 100 kV. "
     
    He explained that "maintenance work included the replacement of defective coils, the replacement of high pressure and damaged insulators and the treatment of damages in the hull of transformers by welding or the replacement of the damaged body and the restoration of the electrical isolation level of the oil used within the transformer by a silent filter by a silent oil filter by means of a silent oil filter by means of a silent filter.
     
    He continued, "Among the additional work carried out by the owners of the workshop is the examination of a number of transformers equipped for the Directorate by modern devices in order to enter it for service."
