The protests in Iraq returned with more vigor in the last hours, after the authorities started to open squares and streets in the capital and the south, in what the protesters considered an attempt to break their sit-in for months.

[size=18]Sources told "Arab media outlets" that protesters cut off a number of main roads in the center of  Karbala province , on Sunday morning.

In Basra, the southernmost province, sit-ins in the city center began to reinstall the tents that were burned by the security forces during the storming of their protest.
The networks circulated pictures and videos showing the return of the demonstrators to the protest center, near the Diwan of Basra Governorate, and chanted those chants calling for reform and fighting corruption.
The Iraqi security forces forcibly broke up the sit-in of protesters in the center of Basra, on Saturday, and burned the tents of the sit-in there.
In Baghdad, pictures showed a large number of Iraqis flocking to Tahrir Square until late at night, to support those present there for fear of security forces storming the square, they say.
On Saturday, the Iraqi authorities reopened squares and streets in Baghdad and southern cities, which raised protesters' fears of the expansion of the campaign, leading to the breakdown of sit-ins.
The security forces evacuated Al-Tayaran Square, Mohammed Al-Qasim Highway and Al-Ahrar Bridge in the center of the capital from the demonstrators, according to a statement issued by the Baghdad Operations Command.
Iraqi security forces advanced towards Tahrir Square, firing tear gas and bullets at the protesters in an attempt to break the sit-in, but this did not happen.
4 protesters were killed and dozens of others wounded during clashes with the security forces, Saturday, in Baghdad and the southern governorates.
