Al-Khalidi: Allawi and Al-Kazemi are the most prominent contenders for the prime minister

On Monday, the head of the Bayraq al-Khair bloc, MP Muhammad al-Khalidi, confirmed that five are competing for the prime minister, noting that the most prominent of them is Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi and Mustafa al-Kazemi.
Al-Khaldi said in a statement to "Information", that "the assignment of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi was canceled at the last moments before Barham Salih travel to Davos for reasons that are still unknown, but that Allawi and Mustafa Al-Kazemi are still the most prominent by five candidates", refusing to "disclose the other three names" ”
He added that "the three names are counted as reserve characters in case of incompatibility for Allawi and Al-Kazemi", noting that "in the lack of agreement on a specific name, the President of the Republic will send the names to Parliament to vote on one of them."
