, The Kurdistan Democratic Party confirmed on Monday that Erbil and the Kurdistan region must be removed from the ongoing conflict between America and Iran, pointing out that targeting American interests inside the region is targeting Kurdistan.
"The American interests in Erbil are largely protected and we do not allow them to be affected because Erbil is not part of this ongoing conflict in which they want to implicate Iraq," party member Repin Salam told Mawazine News.
He added that "the Kurdistan region is committed to the policy of neutrality, which should be the policy of the entire Iraqi state, but there are parties that want to drag the country to the battlefield, and we will not interfere and will not accept that the region conduct this conflict by coercion. Therefore, any targeting of American interests within the region is targeting Kurdistan." End 29 A43
