MP Kata al-Rikabi confirmed, on Wednesday, that the current week will witness the resolution of the nomination of the new prime minister.
Al-Rikabi said, "The nomination of a candidate for the post of prime minister has not been decided yet, and all the names that have been put forward are for media consumption only. Until now, the political blocs have not agreed on specific names."
He added that "the political blocs are still meeting in order to put a name for the Prime Minister's personality, and this file will end with understanding during this week," noting that "dialectical figures are a relative issue, and there is no personality that does not have a problem from other parties."
And that "the personality of the Prime Minister must have a relative acceptance of the other parties, and during the coming days an agreement will be reached, because the political and security situation will not bear more than this delay."
Al-Rikabi stressed that "the nomination of the Prime Minister entails under the name of one component, and all parties to the component agree to name the Prime Minister through understandings within the component." Ended 29 / A 43
