protestors of Tahrir Square in the center of the capital, Baghdad, issued a new statement on Saturday, which includes four points.
The statement: - Our
brothers, the revolutionaries, in the arenas of demonstrations and sit-ins ... The
sons of our homeland who support our national movement ...
In response to the current changes in our homeland and in the arenas of sit-in we must emphasize the following points, which we mentioned more than once in previous times:
1 - The revolution never deviated from its course and from its inception , As it has always repeated its total rejection of the faces of all the political class, and the rejection of external interference in all its forms.
2 - There is no leadership for the revolution. The revolution is a pure youth, which no one has managed to favor in his favor until today. They are the only ones who decided all the past steps, and they will decide the future as well, without guardianship from anyone but the demonstrators themselves.
3- The square was and still is a home for all Iraqis, who are indignant at what has reached the state of our country, so no one has the authority to refuse and accept participation and attendance in it. Everyone is welcome on the condition that he is a pure Iraqi who is not in favor of an interest other than Iraq’s general interest, which has nothing to do with interests Narrow party and personality.
4 - We have been exposed to sit-in squares since the first day of various types of threats, and many of these threats have turned into real actions in addition to the martyrdom of nearly 700 young men, and the wounding of 21,000, and all of this series of threats will never change our position, but will increase us insistence, until the end of the road Additional threats are nothing new, and whoever has been present for more than 100 days in the most dangerous spot in Iraq, given authoritarian repression, will not be deterred by additional games from this or that party.
