Protesters begin to form a political entity that represents demonstrations in Iraq

Shafaq News / The prominent activist in the demonstrations in the city of Nasiriyah in the center of Dhi Qar Governorate in southern Iraq, Dr. Alaa al-Rikabi, announced on Monday that he started to take "practical and serious" steps to form a political entity representing the protests in line with the aspirations of the protesters in the country.
Al-Rikabi said in a speech transmitted by social networking sites today, that it is "out of the need to unify the ranks and organize them and what makes them stronger, more influential and effective in serving the cause that we went out for and given all these sacrifices for them. It has become necessary for us to generate from among us a legal political entity that represents a framework within it All Iraqi patriots, without paying attention to their religious, sectarian, national and regional affiliations, and their investment as statesmen in the new Iraq. "
He added, "We have already started to take practical and serious steps in this direction in line with the aspirations of the peaceful demonstrators to build the homeland for all without discrimination," adding that "this entity will not use the term majority and the minority."
In another axis of the recording, Al-Rikabi called for giving the Prime Minister-designate to form the interim Iraqi government, Mohammed Allawi, an opportunity to implement his pledges he made, most notably to hold the killers of the protesters accountable, and to work on threatening a date for early elections in Iraq.
