Security Committee: The Prime Minister-designate undertook to expel foreign forces
Yesterday, Sunday, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee confirmed that it had discussed the decision of the House of Representatives to remove foreign forces with Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.
Committee member Bader Al-Ziyadi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the decision of the House of Representatives to remove foreign forces was discussed with Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi."
He added that "the Prime Minister-designate will resort to practical steps to remove foreign forces after the formation of the cabinet." The House of Representatives voted on a parliamentary resolution of 5 measures that obliges the government to cancel the request for assistance from the international coalition to fight ISIS, led by the United States of America.
