Washington is deploying an air deterrent system in Iraq
The United States decided to install a system to protect and deter air in Iraq, while a security expert confirmed that the file of the American presence will be transferred to the next government.
Alsumaria News quoted an Iraqi source as saying that the commander of the American forces in the Middle East, General Kenneth McKinsey, discussed with the Iraqi officials in Baghdad the issue of leaving the foreign forces, responding to the missile attacks and deploying an air protection system.
According to the source, the US official informed Baghdad "formally that they have taken a defensive decision to protect about 5 thousand American soldiers present in several bases in Iraq by installing a system of protection and air deterrence that works to counter missiles and air attacks."
Security affairs expert Hisham Al Hashemi, during a special statement to PUKmedia, confirmed that the exit file of the American forces and other files will be transferred to the government that will result in the upcoming elections.
Al-Hashemi said that the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Allawi is an election government and pledges to calm the street, and it will transfer all files related to the removal of US forces, or files related to the scaling of armed factions, to the next government.
Al-Hashemi expressed his failure to think that there are major changes taking place regarding the issue of whether or not US forces remain in Iraq.
