[rtl]Baghdad / Nina / The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, condemned today, Friday, the use of violence against demonstrators in Iraq.
"We condemn the continued use of violence against demonstrators in Iraq," he said. "Peaceful civil demonstrations are a constitutional right, and killing protesters and using force to intimidate and separate them is a flagrant crime and the deprivation of liberty and constitutional rights of citizens."
He added, "While we call for an end to this violence and these illegal and unlawful behaviors, we reiterate our support for the legitimate demands of the demonstrators to provide the services, welfare and a better life that the Iraqi people deserve."
He stressed, "Everyone should understand that the problems, resentment and demands of citizens cannot be suppressed by the use of force, and at the same time and in order to end this crisis, we call for the process of forming the new cab to be resolved as soon as possible." / End 8[/rtl]
