, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masroor Barzani, confirmed today, Friday, that the region supports the formation of the next Iraqi government according to two principles.
Barzani said during his meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Defense, Najah Al-Shammari, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, "We are with the formation of a government that enjoys the support of most of the components of Iraq and adheres to the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan region."
In another axis of the meeting, discussion was held on the importance of continuing and developing coordination between the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army in order to counter the continuing threats of ISIS terrorists.
The president of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, participates in the Munich Security Conference 2020, the first for him since he was elected President of the Kurdistan Regional Government last year, but he previously participated in the previous sessions of the conference when he was serving as a consultant to the Kurdistan Regional Security Council in the past years.
