The Foreign Minister discusses with Aboul Gheit the preparations for the Arab Summit in Algeria
Foreign Minister [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/105644/%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%85%D8%AF %D8%B9%D9%84%D9%8A %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%8A%D9%85]Muhammad Ali al-Hakim[/url] discussed with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the preparations for the Arab Summit in its thirty-first session in Algeria.
"The two sides discussed, on the sidelines of the Munich Conference on International Security, the role of the Arab League as an incubator for joint Arab action and facing the challenges faced by the Arab countries," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
She added, "The two sides discussed the topics that will be presented at the discussion table at the Fifth Arab-African Summit, to be held in Riyadh on the sixth of next March and the Saudi-African Summit."
During the meeting, Minister Al-Hakim stressed that "Iraq is keen on avoiding the policy of axes and adopting a policy of distancing oneself from any regional or international conflicts."
