The head of the Iraqi Group for Strategic Studies, Wathiq Al-Hashemi, expected, on Thursday, the increasing cleavages within the Sunni house as a result of the conflicts currently taking place over the leadership of the component, while it was considered that the hopes of the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, of leadership were dissipated.
Hashemi said in a statement to the "information", that "the struggle over the leadership of the Sunni component by the political forces was hidden and after the Speaker of Parliament openly adopted an idea claiming to the component, some of the personalities felt the danger of that adoption."
He added that "the recent defection that took place in the coalition of forces with the exit of MP Muthanna al-Samarrai and the presence of previous opposition to the Salvation and Development Front led by former parliament speaker Osama al-Nujaifi had dispelled the hopes and dreams of al-Halbousi led by the component," expecting that "more splits will occur in the near stage."
The Alliance of Iraqi Forces headed by Al-Halbousi announced, yesterday evening, Wednesday, the removal of MP Muthanna Al-Samarrai from his ranks, while the latter announced that it would soon announce a political alliance called "Al-Watan First". Ended in / 25 pm
