    The Governor of Baghdad, Muhammad al-Atta, has announced the construction of three temporary bridges to remove traffic jams in southern Baghdad .
    “The governorate is honoring and following up on a project implemented by the Ministry of Construction and Housing, represented by the accomplishment of three temporary iron bridges at the southern entrance to Baghdad to treat the momentum of the wheels in it,” the official newspaper quoted the governor, Muhammad Jaber Al-Atta, as saying, “The ownership of the ownership The entrance to southern Baghdad from the Kut side, as part of its tasks, to follow up and supervise the projects, and to determine the percentage of its achievement .
    He cautioned that "this entrance faces great traffic congestion due to the large and small wheels, and the concrete bridge bridge is worn out. For the construction of three temporary iron bridges at that entrance, with two iron tracks at a length of 102 meters each, and a third fixed iron with a length of 116 meters intended for the transit of cars A two - way high . "
    Al Atta stressed that "the problem of traffic momentum will end if the completion of the work of the temporary bridges and the completion of the rehabilitation of the Al-Rostamiya bridge, while the street and the approaches will be fully prepared, tiled and covered, especially since the Ministry's owners have achieved a percentage of achievement ".
    In the same context, he clarified that "the project to rehabilitate the Mada’in Bridge is an important project, as the road junction connects Madaen with the road to the south from the governorates of Wasit and Basra," noting that "the project was initiated by the governorate several years ago, but it did not take place. And technical and administrative problems that accompanied the implementation process . "
    The governor of Baghdad continued, "The governorate coordinates with the relevant authorities to find solutions to the problems that prevented its completion, as its delay caused a significant confusion in the flow of the movement of vehicles," stressing "the endeavors to achieve it as quickly as possible ."
    He explained that "the work of the bridge included raising the asphalt that was damaged from the street, rehabilitating the approaches and covering an area exceeding 1450 square meters or more, and raising the parts affected by the bridge", attributing "the damage that hit the bridge, to the passing of the overloading of the overloaded carriers ".
