The local administration in Safwan district announced, Monday, the closure of the Safwan border crossing with a totally in front of passengers and trade.
The director of the district, Talib Al-Hsouna, said, "It was decided to completely close the border crossing at Safwan with traffic and trade traffic."
He added, "The closure of the port was carried out yesterday evening until further notice," noting that it "came at the request of the Kuwaiti side without knowing the reasons."
Al-Hessounah added, "The closure also included preventing the crossing of Kuwaitis who are in Iraq to their country, while denying the registration of Koruna injuries to the ranks of Indians or Pakistanis or some drivers who crossed the port towards Iraq." Ended 29 / A 43
