    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Federal Integrity Commission announced the issuance of a decision to imprison two officials in the Maysan governorate, in addition to another employee, against the background of spending them without legal justification in the amount of (211,637,649,000) billion dinars.
    Referring to the decision issued in the case in which the commission investigated and referred it to the judiciary, the investigations department at the commission indicated that “the convicts of the Maysan governor’s assistant for financial affairs and the director of provincial development accounts in the governorate, in addition to one of the employees of the regions development accounts, have issued documents Without a balance to the order of contractors in the governorate, explaining that "the agricultural cooperative bank, after that, issued the bonds to contractors in violation of the law."
    The department added that (647) Sukuk were exchanged at the account of a branch of Al-Rasheed Bank without making any phone reservations or clearing of the instruments, which led to damage to public money.
    It indicated that the Integrity Misdemeanor Court in Maysan reached the full conviction of the deficiency of the accused, after reviewing the evidence obtained in the case, and decided the ruling in the presence of the defendants in prison, according to the provisions of Article 330 of the Penal Code and in terms of articles 47, 48 and 49 of it, giving the right to the affected party; To demand compensation in the civil courts after the decision is finalized.
    It is noteworthy that in April 2017, Integrity had announced the details of its investigation procedures and steps to prevent waste and reimbursement of disbursed amounts without legal justification, indicating that it stressed the need for the relevant authorities to pledge not to exchange any instruments on those amounts unless the outstanding amount has been paid in full in the interest of the bank Agricultural by guarantors guarantors.
