{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Prevention Department of the Federal Integrity Commission called on those charged with conflicts of financial interests to remove them within the specified period, in response to the requirements of the Authority’s Law in force No. 30 of 2011 amended.
The department stated in a statement of integrity that its procedures and follow-up led to the monitoring of violations by a member of the House of Representatives to the requirements of the law through his contribution to a private sector company, and after follow-up the deputy responded to what was stated in the law, and removed the violation by selling it to the shares he owned in the company.
And the department noted that Article (1) Clause (VIII) of the Authority’s Law in force No. 30 of 2011 amended defines conflicts of interests “Every case in which the taxpayer, his spouse, children or those related to a close relationship to the second degree have a material interest that is inconsistent with his position or job” At a time Article (19) item (seventh) of it stipulates: “Anyone who fails to eliminate conflicts between interests during the period mentioned in item (second) of Article (20) of this law shall be punished by imprisonment. The taxpayer who is not the employee from his position}, and Article (20) item II stipulates {when there is evidence of a conflict of interest The choice between costly to remove him to disembark or leave office or function within the period specified by the Commission 's instructions}.
