Ankara - Conscious - Follow-up
NATO is holding an emergency meeting on Friday at Turkey's request.
"NATO will hold an emergency meeting at turkish request to discuss the situation in Idlib, Syria, after the killing of a number of Turkish soldiers," the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said.
The press secretary of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) was Omar Schalik. He said earlier that his country will begin consultations today with NATO regarding the situation in Syria's Idlib, where 33 Turkish soldiers were killed last night.
"The attack on Turkey is an attack on NATO," Schalik said. We expect that certain steps will be taken to establish a no-fly zone in Idlib.
Thirty-three Turkish soldiers in Syria's Idlib were killed in shelling on Thursday night.
